Rae was born and raised in South Louisiana but now makes her home in North Georgia. She enjoys reading and playing with graphic design programs. Rae relaxes by browsing newspaper databases for articles about mascot dogs in World War II, poems written by children or whatever piques her interest at any given moment. She spends most of her time with her husband and dogs. Rae earner her PhD in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia.
